Dear All, We have exciting news to share! The alumni of AoA have successfully established a registered Alumni Body called "AOA Connect Association." This association was incorporated on May 30, 2023, after years of dedicated efforts by volunteers who are now part of the working and founding committee. Here's a brief summary of this journey. Efforts began in 2017 through the formation of the alumni whatsapp groups to bring the community together. With ongoing discussions and feedback from numerous alumni, a group of volunteers came together as a Working Committee to draft the constitution. Virtual and in person meetings amongst this group, with external experts like lawyers, CAs, led to the finalisation of "MOA and Rules and Regulations", "Articles of Agreement (AOA)" & "Memorandum of Association". Following a joint meeting between the Governing Council of Rachana Sansad and the working committee, it was decided to proceed with the formation of the Association of Alumni of Academy of Architecture as a Section 8 (non-profit) Company. The association would have its registered office within the Rachana Sansad premises and serve as the official alumni association of AOA. We are delighted to announce that after three years of submissions and name rejections from the MCA, as well as two years affected by COVID, the Alumni Association of AOA has been incorporated on May 30, 2023. The official name of the entity is "AOA Connect Association." Heartfelt gratitude to the Rachana Sansad Governing Council and all the alumni for their support in making this achievement possible. Thanks also to Rewa Phansalkar, Alhad Gore, and Vinit Mirkar for their valuable inputs. The working committee members have formed the Board of Directors to lay the foundation of the Association and determine the way forward. The members are: * Adhish Goray * Arjun Sharma * Darpana Athale * Obaid Hakim * Manan Gupta * Neha Sarwate * Sameep Padora * Shrikrishna Athale (Mukund) * Suresh Singh AOA Connect Association invites and looks forward to all alumni of Academy of Architecture to be part of this Association, and help build our community. And also come forward to take up some of the responsibilities in running the association smoothly. We are currently developing an app that will facilitate membership, networking, information sharing, event organisation, and more within the alumni community. Updates regarding the app will be provided soon. Before anything else, we wanted to celebrate the incorporation of AOA Connect Association with all of you.
